I've been told that when Andy Burgess comes back from Ireland with R&D we are going to re-open talks. There is not much difference between the two parties and we pulled out last time to call his bluff. |

I have been told by a certain groundstaff memeber at the not so near neighbours (Barnsley) A certain Stephen McPhail could be on his way to Swansea next season. There has also been talk of Nick Montgomery from Shefield United as well making a move to the Swans, however the wages area could become a slight stumbling block. Who knows only time will tell |

CP, your facts are further off the mark. Whilst there is no truth in the suggestion that Diamond will be sponsoring the new stadium or the team, Diamond is a Brand of the Admiral Group and whilst the registered address is in Cardiff as per all the Admiral companies, Diamond itself is physically based entirely in Swansea. Who is as reliable as a Japanese watch now, eh??? |
| Received ... Tuesday, July 05, 2005 - Angry Man - Swansea |

tim howell left the stadium management team because the place is a shambles. the players lounge hasnt been started yet, there is absolutely no sign of a sponser for stdium name or team shirt.and on top of that the stadium steel is suspect like the other interserve project in swansea the technium 2 site in sa1 the opening had to be delayed as the steel holding the structure was hollow .they had to drill large holes and inject it with concrete,it looks like the same has to be done at stadium to allow opening,mr howell didnt want to be around when shit hit the pan as he beleives safety certificate will be rejected.the council are now trying to look for a name and may just go with white rock all true mark my words.
|
| Received ... Monday, July 04, 2005 - Richard - Llandybie |
Heard today that someone in the council has !!!! up and that the capacity for the Fulham game will only be 10,000. Also they have not got a sponsor yet and looks likely they will not in time for the season. Council are considering what to call it !! What a mess.

PM. Your facts are a little off the mark. Diamond didn't make a big payout to their staff members, it was Admiral. Diamond aren't based in Swansea either they are in Cardiff "Capital Tower, Greyfriars Rd, Cardiff, South Glamorgan CF10 3AZ". So I think it's fair to say that your rumour is about as reliable as a cheap Japanese Watch

| Received ... Monday, June 27, 2005 - PM - Swansea |
I can tell you all now. It wont be the Alberto-culver or NTL stadium. The stadium name will be the DIAMOND STADIUM. with Diamond car insurance all over the shirts. They are a local business who in the media recently paid out thousands to its staff. They have many more thousands unspent and will use it towards stadium name and shirt sponser. This come from a friend who is mates with the commercial and marketing manager of diamond. |

Striker Lee Trundle is being eyed by Hull city and could be on the move. I hope not because he has done alot for this club and if it wosn't for him we wouldn't be in league 1 and plus he has signed new contract so it more likely that he is going to stay although he did say he was "flattered" by this this is from the evening post
