Albert Serrán Polo, Serrán (born 17 July 1984 in Barcelona), is a Spanish footballer, currently in the Football League Championship for Swansea City.
A product of RCD Espanyol`s youth system, Serrán appeared in 3 league matches from 2007-08 (debuting on March 11, 2007, in a 1-1 draw at Racing de Santander) while still registered with the B team.
Deemed surplus to requirements following Tintín Márquez` appointment to the managerial post at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, Serrán signed a three-year deal with Welsh club Swansea City A.F.C., in the English second level, with a buy-back clause should Espanyol wish to re-sign the player at a later date. It was later revealed that such clause did not exist, but Espanyol retained the first option should Swansea wish to sell in future.
