Paul Reid
Reid was popular with the Bury fans because of his hard-tackling nature and never-say-die spirit. Occasionally prone to the reckless tackle.
Reid has also scored a few vital goals for Bury, particularly in the derby with his former club Oldham, where he celebrated by dashing 90 yards to gesture the score at the visiting fans - 2-2 I believe it was … After a poor start in 1999, Reid shaved his head a la Roy Keane, which immediately led to a spate of bookings and a sending off against Cambridge. While not exactly setting the world alight (though you fear he might if given chance). Reid's has a tendency accumulate bookings like most of us accumulate meals. For Bury he was suspended by mid September!
