David Moss
Signed: 1st July 2002.
The 33-year-old, Doncaster-born frontman was Nick Cusack's eighth summer signing on a 12-month contract. He's tall and athletic, a very strong forward with a very good scoring record and cost Dunfermline £120,000 three years ago Moss, can also operate as an attacking midfielder, and has scored once every three games since being spotted by Doncaster playing semipro for Boston as a 24 year-old.
Five goals in 18 games for Doncaster earned him a move to Chesterfield, where he scored 16 times in 71 appearances.
After a brief spell with Scunthorpe, Moss headed north of the border first to Partick and then Falkirk, where he struck 33 times in 76 games.
His £120,000 move to Dunfermline brought a successful stint in the Scottish top flight, before a loan spell at Ayr and a short-lived return to Falkirk. This summer he became a free agent.
