At Deepdale

Preston v Swansea

Jay McEveley is set to make his Preston debut when Championship rivals Swansea visit Deepdale.

North End have eased their defensive crisis by signing the left-back on an emergency one-month loan deal from Derby.

They are without their recognised left-backs Callum Davidson and Michael Hart through suspension and injury respectively for the visit of Roberto Martinez' side.

Hart sustained an ankle injury during Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Burnley and could be out for several weeks and Davidson was dismissed after coming off the bench to replace his fellow Scot.

He serves a one-game ban and midfielder Richard Chaplow could also miss out after he suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury at Turf Moor.

Goalkeeper Wayne Henderson (back) and defenders Liam Chilvers (Achilles) and Neal Trotman (hernia) remain sidelined.

Swansea boss Roberto Martinez could be boosted by the return of defender Marcos Painter, midfielder Darren Pratley and winger Shaun MacDonald.

Painter and Pratley have both been sidelined recently with ankle problems, while MacDonald has been hampered by a hamstring injury.

But the trio have a chance of being involved at Deepdale as the Swans bid to bounce back from Saturday's 4-0 thrashing against Reading.

Winger Mark Gower overcame an ankle injury to come off the bench and feature against the Royals and he should again be involved against North End.

Meanwhile, Swans duo Ashley Williams and Owain Tudur-Jones have been named in the Wales squad to face Liechtenstein and Germany in World Cup 2010 qualifiers next month.

Preston v Swansea

Jay McEveley is set to make his Preston debut when Championship rivals Swansea visit Deepdale, after the full-back signed from Derby on emergency loan.

Callum Davidson (ban) and Michael Hart (ankle) are unavailable, while Richard Chaplow (hamstring) may also miss out.

Swansea's Marcos Painter (ankle), Darren Pratley (ankle) and Shaun MacDonald (hamstring) could all return.

Winger Mark Gower should again feature after coming off the bench against Reading following an ankle injury.
