Lenny Johnrose signed for Swansea on a non-contract basis on 24th Jan 2003. He is well regarded at Bury and is some. Lenny had two spells at Gigg Lane after signing a short term contract with them in October 2002. He began his career at Ewood Park with Blackburn Rovers and was limited to just 20 appearances for them. Following a loan spell at Preston, he signed for Hartlepool United for £50,000 in Feb 92. A cash crisis at Victoria Park saw Lenny leave Hartlepool to join Bury in December 1993 for £20,000.

He was a firm favourite amongst the Bury supporters making over 200 appearances during the next five years. A good solid midfield battler who progressed through Bury’s double promotion success’s. A £225,000 move to Burnley followed where he joined former Manager Stan Ternant. He was released at the end of last season by the Turf Moor outfit, only to be resigned by them on a short term contract in September.

Once his contract ran out he trialed at a number of third division clubs but elected to return to Gigg Lane on a short term deal. He joins Swansea after being released by Bury, despite boss Andy Preece wanting to retain his services.
