Signed last season from Espanyol, Andrea has looked a really classy addition to the squad, with a great touch and excellent crossing ability. Andrea looks as if he will provide an exciting attacking option from midfield.
Unfortunately, just as Andrea seemed to really be settling in, he suffered ligament damage as a result of a dreadful tackle sustained during the fiery F.A. Cup tie against Havant and Waterlooville. Hopefully this season we will see the best of him in a Swans shirt.
With his trademark alice band, Andrea seems to have the potential to become the biggest fashion victim at the club.
2007/2008
Andrea has spent the last 2 seasons on loan at spanish giants Barcelona from Alavés, where he has made 66 appearances for the Barcelona B side.
He also made 3 appearances for the first team during his time at the Camp Nou, one of them came in La Liga, he also played the final two games of last season for Barcelona as they lifted the Catalunya Cup and assisted 2 goals by crossing the ball from the left wing.
Orlandi can play anywhere on the left hand side and can also play as a second striker. He was voted the second sexiest footballer in Spain behind David Beckham.
He had two years left on his contract at Alavés but has agreed to join the Swans on a free transfer despite still having 2 years left on his contract with the Second Division club.
Andrea has signed a one-year deal with the club which has a performances related option to extend his stay at the Liberty Stadium.
